Cataldo, Idaho

Thursday night 7/16 we had a quick stay at the very windy Jacob Williams Winery on Thursday night on the Columbia River. Like all Harvest Host sites, they just ask that you purchase about $30 of goods and services in exchange for a place to stay the night . A bottle of wine was an easy choice! We had great views of Mt. Hood but note the white caps on the Columbia River.

Friday was mostly a driving day from Oregon through Washington to Cataldo, Idaho.

We're staying two nights at the CDA River River Campground.

It's a private campground on the Coeur D'Alene River, that's pretty and well managed.

The campground is located right next to the Trail of the Couer D'Alenes which is a paved, 73-mile rail-trail across the Idaho Panhandle from Plummer in the west to Mullan in the east. We rode our bikes about 12 miles on the trail today and will do another ride tomorrow in the other direction before we head to Montana.
