Into Canada: Fairmont Hot Springs, British Columbia

Here's the link to our current trip map:

Wednesday was mostly a driving day (250 miles). We stopped in Kalispell, MT and had a great breakfast at Sykes Market Restaurant and Pharmac which has been around since 1897!

We left Montana and crossed into Canada at the Roosville border crossing.

Yea Canada!
Yea Canada!

We stopped Cranbrook to stock up on groceries at the Real Canadian Superstore. I admit that I was a little let down with the experience after seeing the grand entrance and the name. It was pretty similar to Walmart....which was right next door.

We did pick up some of these little Canadian bites of happiness which helped ease the disappointment:

We stayed the night at Fairmont Hot Springs RV Resort and went to the hot springs pool for their evening hours from 8:30-10pm. It's a very large popular spot with lots of families staying. I didn't get a picture but here's one from their website to give you an idea:

Today we're headed just a short drive to Kootenay National Park near the town of Radium Hot Springs.
