Here's a link to our current trip map:
We had a short drive yesterday from Fairmont Hot Springs to our campground in the Kootenay National Park. We stopped at our first Tim Horton's ( think Canadian Dunkin Donuts) and stopped to try them at the Columbia River overlook.
on Highway 93. You can see that it's been smoky from fires in British Columbia ( not close to us)
We had a nice campsite in the trees.

Today we went to Radium Hot Springs in the morning and then drove a couple of hours to Banff. We crossed a) the Continental Divide, b) from British Columbia to Alberta provinces and c) from Kootenay to Banff national parks all in one spot!

The mountain views are gorgeous and we're hoping for the smoke to clear some in the next few days.
We'll be staying in Banff for a couple of days before continuing north to Lake Louise. First moose sighting!
